The Land of Palaces and Maharajas

15 Days / 14 Nights

Day 1 – Arrival in Delhi

Arrival at Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi, either in the morning or evening. You will be welcomed by our local representative at the airport and transferred to your hotel in Delhi.

Day 2 – Delhi / Jaisalmer (By Flight)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to Delhi airport for your flight to Jaisalmer. Upon arrival, welcome by our local representative and transfer to your hotel.

In the afternoon, check in at a haveli in Jaisalmer. After some rest, depart to visit Bada Bagh and its finely carved royal cenotaphs (chhatris), and enjoy a beautiful sunset over the Thar Desert.

In the evening, stroll through the narrow lanes of the city. You will admire the golden sandstone houses that give Jaisalmer its nickname.

Note: If the domestic Delhi–Jaisalmer flight is unavailable, an alternative Delhi–Jodhpur flight will be arranged. The transfer to Jaisalmer will then be by road.

Day 3 – Jaisalmer

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Golden Fort, also known as Sonar Killa, a majestic 12th-century fortress housing a maze of narrow lanes, havelis, and temples.

Continue with the discovery of the splendid Patwon Ki Haveli and Salim Singh Ki Haveli, renowned for their finely carved façades.

Then visit Gadisar Lake, a historic jewel of Jaisalmer created in the 14th century by Maharaja Gadisar Singh to ensure the city’s water supply. Explore its ancient temples and sculpted ghats, bearing witness to the spiritual and architectural importance of this emblematic site.

In the afternoon, depart for an excursion into the Thar Desert for a jeep ride across the dunes. Enjoy an unforgettable sunset over the desert, followed by a folk dance performance and a local dinner.

In the evening, return to Jaisalmer for the night.

Day 4 – Jaisalmer / Osiyan / Jodhpur (310 km – 5h30 drive)

After breakfast, depart for Jodhpur, the “Blue City.”

En route, stop at the village of Osiyan to visit its Jain and Hindu temples, including the Sachiya Mata Temple and the Mahavira Temple. Admire the ancient architecture and delicate carvings of these historic temples.

Upon arrival in Jodhpur, begin with a visit to Toor Ji Ka Jhalra, a beautifully restored 18th-century stepwell. Appreciate its symmetrical staircases and peaceful atmosphere.

Continue to Mahila Bagh Ka Jhalra, a lesser-known but equally fascinating stepwell offering insight into Rajasthani architectural ingenuity.

In the late afternoon, visit the royal gardens of Mandore. Explore the elegantly carved cenotaphs of the former rulers of Marwar, along with temples and lush gardens.

Free time at the end of the day to relax at your hotel or explore the local markets of Jodhpur.

In the evening, return to Jaisalmer for the night.

Day 5 – Jodhpur

After breakfast at the hotel, visit the majestic Mehrangarh Fort, perched on a rocky outcrop overlooking the entire Blue City. Built from the 15th century onward and expanded over time, it remains one of the most impressive forts in Rajasthan, both for its monumental ramparts and the richness of its palaces, courtyards, pavilions, and collections.

Continue with Jaswant Thada, a superb white marble memorial built in the 19th century, a true lacework of stone offering a peaceful atmosphere and beautiful views over the city.

In the afternoon, explore the lively markets of Jodhpur, particularly the famous Sardar Market around the Clock Tower. Wander among colorful and fragrant stalls filled with spices, textiles, copper objects, local handicrafts, and Rajasthani specialties in a vibrant atmosphere.

Free evening at your hotel.

Day 6 – Jodhpur / Jojawar (125 km – 3h)

After breakfast, depart for the charming village of Jojawar, nestled in the heart of the Aravalli Hills. The drive passes through beautiful rural landscapes dotted with small hamlets and typical Rajasthani village life.

Upon arrival, check in at Jojawar Palace. After some rest, enjoy a first discovery of the village on foot, through its peaceful lanes and traditional houses.

In the afternoon, enjoy a picturesque ride aboard a local train, a highly immersive experience offering views of the Aravalli valley, rocky hills, and isolated villages.

Return to the palace. Free time to stroll at your own pace and enjoy the calm atmosphere as the light softens at the end of the day.

Day 7 – Jojawar / Ranakpur / Kumbhalgarh / Udaipur (180 km – 4h)

After breakfast, drive to Udaipur.

Stop to visit the magnificent Jain Temple of Ranakpur (Adinath Temple), a four-faced temple renowned for its exceptional marble carvings.

Continue to visit Kumbhalgarh Fort, one of the most impressive fortresses in Rajasthan.

Arrival in Udaipur and check-in at the hotel. Free time to rest.

In the late afternoon, attend a traditional dance and puppet show at Bagore Ki Haveli, a former princely residence located on the banks of Lake Pichola.

Day 8 – Udaipur

After breakfast, visit the City Palace, a vast palace complex overlooking Lake Pichola. Built from the 16th century onward, it impresses with its inner courtyards, carved façades, balconies, and refined blend of Rajput and Mughal architecture.

Continue to Jagdish Temple (17th century), one of the city’s most emblematic sanctuaries, renowned for its beautiful sculptures and spiritual atmosphere.

In the afternoon, explore Udaipur’s lively markets to discover local handicrafts: printed fabrics, silver jewelry, miniature paintings, decorative objects, and typical Rajasthani souvenirs.

In the late afternoon, enjoy a boat ride on Lake Pichola, an essential experience in Udaipur. From the water, admire the Lake Palace and Jag Mandir, with the Aravalli Hills in the background. The experience concludes at sunset, when the waters shimmer in golden light.

Day 9 – Udaipur / Chittorgarh / Castle Bijaypur (151 km – 3h)

After breakfast, depart for Chittorgarh, one of the most impressive historical sites in Rajasthan. This former capital of the Mewar kingdom is home to a legendary UNESCO World Heritage hilltop fortress surrounded by spectacular ramparts.

Discover the Victory Tower (Vijay Stambh), a masterpiece of architecture, and the Kirti Stambh dedicated to Jainism.

Continue to Bijaypur. Upon arrival, check in at Castle Bijaypur, an elegant heritage residence surrounded by fields and villages, offering an intimate and authentic atmosphere.

Free time to relax and enjoy the serenity of the countryside.
Evening free for a walk through nearby villages and rural landscapes before returning to the castle.

Day 10 – Castle Bijaypur / Pushkar (237 km – 4h30)

After breakfast at the castle, depart for Pushkar, one of the most emblematic and spiritual towns in Rajasthan.

Upon arrival, check in at the hotel. Visit the sacred Pushkar Lake, surrounded by numerous ghats where pilgrims perform rituals. Stroll through the lively bazaars known for textiles, jewelry, handicrafts, and souvenirs.

In the evening, walk around the lake at sunset. If time permits, attend a religious aarti ceremony on the ghats. Overnight in Pushkar.

Day 11 – Pushkar / Jaipur (145 km – 3h)

Early morning walk around Pushkar Lake to witness pilgrims performing ablutions and prayers. Return to the hotel for breakfast.

Drive to Jaipur, the Pink City of Rajasthan. En route, stop to visit the Jain temple on the outskirts of Ajmer. Upon arrival in Jaipur, check in at the hotel and rest.

Late afternoon visit to Laxminarayan Temple and photo stop at Albert Hall Museum, built in 1887 during the reign of Maharaja Sawai Madho Singh II and designed by British architect Sir Samuel Swinton Jacob in Indo-Saracenic style.

In the evening, enjoy an Ayurvedic massage before returning to the hotel. Free evening.

Day 12 – Jaipur :

Visit the majestic Amber Fort, located outside the city. Explore its sumptuous 16th-century palaces. Ascent to the fort by jeep.

Photo stop at Jal Mahal (Water Palace).

In the afternoon, visit the City Palace, a refined example of Indo-Mughal architecture. Continue to the Palace of Winds (Hawa Mahal), with its 953 windows overlooking the bazaars.

Late afternoon electric rickshaw ride through Jaipur’s historic lanes, filled with spices, colorful saris, jewelry, and leather goods.

Day 13 – Jaipur / Fatehpur Sikri / Agra (255 km – 6h)

After breakfast, depart for Agra. En route, visit the Mughal royal city of Fatehpur Sikri, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and former capital of Emperor Akbar. Explore Jodha Bai Palace, Jama Masjid, and Buland Darwaza, the largest gateway in the world.

Upon arrival in Agra, check in at the hotel. Visit Agra Fort, the imposing red sandstone fortress that once housed the Mughal emperors. Discover its palaces, mosques, gardens, and views of the Taj Mahal in the distance.

Free evening.

Day 14 – Agra / Delhi (240 km – 5h)

At sunrise, visit the Taj Mahal, one of the most iconic monuments in the world. Discover the love story behind this architectural masterpiece built by Emperor Shah Jahan in memory of Mumtaz Mahal. Admire the white marble mausoleum adorned with precious stones and delicate calligraphy.

Return to the hotel for breakfast. Drive to Delhi. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel and rest.

In the evening, visit India Gate, a 42-meter-high triumphal arch erected in memory of Indian soldiers who died during World War I.

Note: The Taj Mahal is closed on Fridays.

Day 15 – Delhi / Departure

After breakfast, visit India’s capital city.

Visit Jama Masjid (17th century), the largest mosque in India. Enjoy a walking tour through Chandni Chowk, the historic and commercial heart of Delhi since the Mughal era.

Continue to Bangla Sahib Sikh Temple (18th century), entirely built in marble. Visit its impressive community kitchen serving daily meals to thousands of pilgrims.

In the late afternoon, visit Qutub Minar, the 12th-century red sandstone minaret reflecting the Islamic architecture of the Delhi Sultanate.

Evening transfer to Delhi International Airport for your return flight.

Best time to visit : from October till March

The best time to visit Rajasthan is from October to March, when temperatures are pleasant and ideal for sightseeing, desert excursions, and heritage stays.
April to September is hotter, but the monsoon months (July–September) can offer lush landscapes and attractive off-season advantages.
