The uniqueness of Chatth Puja lies in the fact that it is the only occasion where the worshiping of the setting sun takes place. Hindi is the official language of Bihar, many local dialects include Bhojpuri, Magahi, and Maithili. Bhojpuri is the dialect that is spoken by the majority of the people of Bihar. Every Year, over 6 Million Tourists land in Bihar to visit the remains of Ancient Nalanda University, the abode of Peace Bodhgaya, the mighty stupas of Vaishali, the misty mountains of Rajgir and other historic monuments dating back to 350 BC, scattered throughout the state.

By Air
All major airlines operate their flights from the capital city Patna and Gaya to all major destinations of India. Jaiprakash Narayan International Airport is situated at Patna.

By Rail
There are direct trains to Patna from all major cities of the country. The railway station is located in the centre of the capital city.

By Road
Bihar is well connected with the rest of India by National and State Highways.  The main bus stand is at Mithapur situated at the outskirt of Patna city.

The summer season comprises of March, April and May when the state experiences extreme climatic conditions during this period. The temperature remains more than 29 degree Celsius in almost all the places and even exceeds 40 degree Celsius in certain areas. June to September is the monsoon season.
